TANEYA’s History
TANEYA was established as a confectionery in 1872.
“Tane” in the company name means “seed” in Japanese. Before starting the confectionery shop, the company sold grain and root vegetable seeds under the trade name of TANEYA.
Even after the confection business began, locals continued to call the shop by this name.
